What a magnificent day for a round of golf. A slight amount of dew on the first few holes, blue skies with the odd white cloud and a gentle warm breeze! Perth spring weather at its best!!
Contenders for the Spring Cup considered their chances of pulling off another low score to win the magnificent trophy.
So, the battle hardened competitors set forth, each intent on claiming the Spring Cup, or to succumb in the effort. Each followed their instincts, based on their wide ranging level of abilities . . . . and handicap!
One of the interesting aspects of SOS membership is that no two weeks are dominated by superior performance by specific individuals. And so it was with the 2nd round of the Spring Cup! The results for the 2nd round were as follows:
Yes, your interim bloggist managed to produce his best round in several years for a humbling net 63!
However, the aggregate scores for the two rounds produced an eye watering result as Richard Yeo who surged to the front with two impressively consistent rounds of 68 and 72 for a total of 140.
